Landscape-Scale Conservation: From the Heart of the Rockies Spanning Six Continents

Landscape-Scale Conservation: From the Heart of the Rockies Spanning Six Continents In-Person

Ecologist, wildlife veterinarian, and Founder and President of the Center for Large Landscape Conservation, Gary Tabor will explore the vital importance of landscape-scale conservation strategies, providing a compelling look at how our local and regional conservation efforts have global impact. Through real-world examples, including projects in our very own Wood River Valley, Gary will describe how reversing the fragmentation of the earth’s landscapes restores nature’s resilience to a changing climate.

In partnership with the Wood River Land Trust, the 2025 “Think Globally, Act Locally” Speaker Series is dedicated to fostering community action in response to global and regional environmental challenges. This year’s series brings together renowned experts for a trio of events to explore how our local actions contribute to broader global conservation efforts. Each presentation will feature insights from respected professionals, offering perspectives on landscape-scale conservation, river restoration, and community-based solutions for preserving the unique qualities of the Wood River Valley.

Join us for series events on January 15, February 19, and March 11.
