The Nutcracker, Holiday Story Event: Ballet Sun Valley & The Community Library

The Nutcracker, Holiday Story Event: Ballet Sun Valley & The Community Library In-Person

Tchaikovskhy's ballet, The Nutcracker, is a holiday classic featuring a young girl who befriends a nutcracker that comes to life on Christmas Eve and wages a battle against the evil Mouse king.

First, children will listen to a storybook reading of The Nutcracker then join Dores André, principal dancer from San Francisco Ballet, as the Sugar Plum Fairy in a movement lesson. Don't forget your cameras or phones as kids can pose with the Sugar Plum Fairy in a festive photo op. This will be followed by a craft for children. Cookies and milk will be served.

This holiday event is a partnership between The Community Library and Ballet Sun Valley. Registration is required and is limited to the first 40 children. Please register EACH child seperately. Adults do not need to register, but children must be accompanied by an adult or caregiver.
