Celebrate the end of summer during the Library's annual open house with fun for the whole family.

We’re booking around the Library with activities for kids and adults, including the Chihuly Blanket Cylinders Exhibit, Banned Books Bingo, book giveaway, chalk, bubbles & dragonflies, a Time Warp photo booth, bites & beverages, music, and more.  

For refeshments, we've got free Tacos from Taqeria al Pastor, free bites and beverages from Sun Valley Company, wine and beer for purchase from Roadbars.

Kids get to build a paper dragon fly and launch it through the air, plus make chalk art, and play with bubbles. In Spin's Courtyard, we're giving away as many books as you can carry from our overflow collection. Test your wits against trivial from banned and challenged books in Banned Books Bingo in the Lecture Hall. You could win a $25 gift card from the Gold Mine!

The marquee event is the stunning exhibit of Chihuly Blanket Cylinders. Play the "I Spy" scavenger hunt in the exhibit to win prizes from our gift basket. And don't forgt to stop by the Time Warp Photo Booth in the Reading Room to have your picture taken getting off the bus in Sun Valley in 1955. "Dance through the Decades" to music on the lawn, and Book Around the Library for literacy, history, community, and fun!
