Roadside Geology of Idaho

Roadside Geology of Idaho In-Person

Join geologists and authors Paul Link and Shawn Willsey as they describe and present their completely revised second edition of Roadside Geology of Idaho. This new guidebook uses vivid maps, pictures, and text to describe the geology and landscapes along all of Idaho’s highways and freeways. One of several side trips describes the geology of Trail Creek road into the Pioneer Mountains which will be featured in the presentation.

Paul Link is a recently retired Idaho State University geology professor (1980-2020) and co-author of Rocks, Rails, and Trails. Shawn Willsey is a geology professor at the College of Southern Idaho and author of Geology Underfoot in Southern Idaho. Both have led geology field trips throughout Idaho, including the Sun Valley region.
