Dispatches from a Residency at the Hemingway House

Dispatches from a Residency at the Hemingway House In-Person

Kevin Lavelle, the Library’s Hemingway Writer-In-Residence for November, will share some of his work from his time in residency at the historic Ernest and Mary Hemingway House. During his residency, Kevin will be working on the darkly comic novel Sunset And Time: When a time-travelling Empathic Therapist loses the love of his life, he and a combative hummingbird must gatecrash his past lives to find her, before his jealous nemesis destroys the world's supply of love.

He will discuss his writing process with the community and invite your questions on the writing and creative life.

Kevin Lavelle is a screen and fiction writer living in Los Angeles. A native of Ireland, his writing includes a psychological thriller, a horror and a young adult/fantasy. Dark magical realism with heart is his arena, whatever the genre. Lavelle is the inaugural recipient of the Writing by Writers Hemingway House residency with The Community Library.
