Fire Insurance Explained In-Person

The wildfire insurance landscape in the U.S. (especially in the West) is going through a fundamental shift. It’s not just “prices going up”—it’s a structural change in how insurance works, who can get it, and what it covers.

Join us for a panel discussion where presenters will discuss the current state of fire insurance for homeowners and business owners and take your questions.

Presenters: Patrick Buchanan, Insurance Agent with State Farm Insurance; Reid Black, Division Chief and Fire Marshal with Sun Valley Fire Department; and Chris Corwin, Disaster and Emergency Services Coordinator for Blaine County.

Presented in partnership with the Sawtooth Valley Wildland Fire Collaborative.

Registration recommended to join us in person. To watch live online (no registration needed): https://vimeo.com/event/5811276. The recording will be available to watch later on The Community Library's Event Archive.
