"Friedl" Film Screening

"Friedl" Film Screening In-Person

Join professional skier, filmmaker, and Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame inductee, Chris Anthony, for the first screening of his newest documentary film focused on the legendary Friedl Pfeifer.

Pfeifer was born in St. Anton, Austria to a large farming family. His humble beginnings would never have foreshadowed his ski career, time in the United States Army 10th Mountain Division, a career teaching skiing, meeting stars like Claudette Colbert and author Ernest Hemingway, and founding the ski resort of Aspen. From ties to Sun Valley and beyond, the story of Friedl Pfeifer is fascinating and inspiring.

Friedl was written, directed, edited, and produced by Chris Anthony. In addition to creating award-winning films and documentaries, Anthony also operates a non-profit called the Chris Anthony Youth Initiative Project whose mission is to improve the quality of life by introducing youth to educational enrichment opportunities.

Run time of the film is 51 minutes.

Following the screening, the Wood River Museum of History + Culture will host a reception with Chris Anthony inside the Museum.
