Field Trip: Minidoka and Herrett Center

Field Trip: Minidoka and Herrett Center In-Person

In the first of three summer Field Trips exploring Southern Idaho with The Community Library and Wood River Museum of History + Culture, we'll be visiting Minidoka National Historic Site and the Herrett Center in Twin Falls. These Field Trips are designed to give attendees a chance to dig deeper into the regional history in Southern Idaho.

Leaving at 7:30am on Saturday, June 28, we will take a mini-coach (seating for 25) to the Minidoka site for a guided tour with one of their docents. Following the tour and visit (2 hours), we'll stop for a brown bag lunch at Shoshone Falls Park (bring your own lunch!!) and then we'll head for the Herrett Center at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls. The Herrett Center encompasses natural history, Idaho history, a planetarium and more. We will be back to Ketchum by 5pm. For this Field Trip we are asking for a suggested donation of $10 per person to help defray costs, thanks! Donation may be made on the day of the Field Trip.

Meet at the entrance to the Wood River Museum of History + Culture at 580 Fourth Avenue East at 7:20 a.m. We'll leave promptly at 7:30 a.m.
