National Forests in Our New Economy with Dieter Fenkart-Froeschl

National Forests in Our New Economy with Dieter Fenkart-Froeschl In-Person

Economies at local and national levels are in constant flux, creating opportunities for big thinkers and on-the-ground doers to prosper and innovate.  Moreover, recent technological advances are changing the paradigm.  And with the resurgent interest in domestic production through manufacturing, timber harvesting, mining, etc. we, as a nation, are being challenged to think in new ways about what natural spaces and public lands mean to us.

Join Dieter Fenkart-Froeschl, President & CEO of the National Forest Foundation, for an overview of the history of public lands followed by a closer look at the challenges facing National Forests and how partners like the National Forest Foundation are tackling these challenges through innovation, scalable solutions and community engagement. This talk will explore how partnerships and collaboration with communities can build a future where forests are healthy and resilient, and where forests are engines for sustainable local economic activity.
