Ernest Hemingway Seminar: "Never Any Ending to Paris" In-Person
Never Any Ending to Paris: Journeying through A Moveable Feast
September 4-6, 2025
This year’s seminar will focus on the posthumously published Paris sketches, A Moveable Feast. Over two and a half days, we’ll explore Hemingway’s essays about his time in Paris in the 1920s, the atmosphere within which he developed his craft, and the many characters brought to life as he later recalled his memories from this seminal time. We’ll also examine the context within which he worked on the collection, including writing and revision at his final home in Ketchum.
Join us for speakers, discussion, film, and fellowship as we delve into this text, memory and nostalgia, and the generation and revision of Hemingway’s writings of those “hungry” days in Paris.
The seminar opens Thursday, September 4, at 5:00 p.m. with a reception and our opening keynote at 6:00 p.m., then runs all day Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a closing reception on Saturday from 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Tickets to attend in person are $95.
In-person registration is currently FULL. If you are interested in attending, please sign up for the waitlist. Waitlist registrants do not need to pay at the time of registration. You will have an opportunity to pay for registration if and when you come off of the waitlist, or at seminar check in on September 4.
There is also the option to attend virtually. If you are interesting in joining us virtually, click here.
