Maintaining Community Bonds Amidst Growth and Change In-Person
Part 4 in the Spur Community Foundation's It's In Our Nature Event Series
Join us for an exploration of the intangible aspects of life in the Wood River Valley that foster community. As new development, increased traffic, and population growth challenge our sense of connection with our neighbors, the pace and scale of change can sometimes be unsettling. What are the core elements of community that we can nurture to alleviate distress and enhance our connectedness? Facilitated by Danya Rumore Ph.D., this session will engage participants in a dialogue, encouraging meaningful conversations both within small groups and as a whole. Together, we will explore what we love about our community, what makes it unique, the true meaning of 'community,' and how we can all contribute to collective problem-solving efforts.
Registration is required. Program will be livestreamed and available to view later. Click here to watch online.
The Spur Community Foundation believes that impactful philanthropy plays a vital role in ensuring that the Wood River Valley remains a compassionate, thriving, and vibrant community. Their vision is for all members of the community to recognize that a culture of generosity can enhance the quality of life in our valley, inspiring them to give back with their talents, time, or resources. By promoting this sense of engagement, Spur aims to preserve the values and character of the Wood River Valley for future generations to come.
