Star Lab Planetarium with Scott Slonim In-Person
Explore the night sky in this amazing portable planetarium.
Bring the whole family and join Scott Slonim, Hemingway STEAM School engineering design teacher, as he takes you on a unique tour of the stars. You’ll learn to identify a variety of constellations, including Native American and Greek constellations, and you’ll learn some of the stories behind them. You’ll also learn about the phases of the moon and get to touch a real shooting star. The event will end with a laser show!
Children should be accompanied by an adult. A special thank you to the Wood River Women's Foundation for their generous grant which allowed the school to purchase this amazing planetarium.
Space is limited. Registration is required for this event. Please complete a registration for each person who will be attending. You may call the Children's Library desk at 208-726-3493 x 3 with questions or help with registration.
