Young Latino Leaders Panel (Panel de jóvenes líderes latinos) In-Person
As part of National Hispanic Heritage Month, and in partnership with ProjecToolSuccess and the Crisis Hotline, The Community Library will host the 3rd annual panel discussion celebrating and hearing from young Latino leaders in our community.
The panel will feature five students from Wood River High School's Nosotros United club, whose mission is to promote the blending of cultures and ambitious dreams for all: Vera Lucia Gonzales, Ytzhel Pedraza, Natalie Zaragoza, Joselyn Mosqueda-Camacho, and Aracely Pedraza. The panel will be moderated by Herbert Romero of ProjecToolSuccess.
The conversation will highlight the incredible work of these high school students, inviting them to share with us their visions for the Wood River Valley. The event will be livestreamed and recorded for later viewing. Click here to watch online.
Como parte del Mes Nacional de la Herencia Hispana, y en colaboración con ProjecToolSuccess y la Línea de Crisis, la Biblioteca Comunitaria será el anfitrión de la 3 ª mesa redonda anual de celebración y escuchar a los jóvenes líderes latinos en nuestra comunidad.

Panelists will include:
Ytzhel Pedraza is a senior at WRHS and co-president for Nosotros United. Born and raised in the valley, Ytzhel has experienced the lovely summers and icy winters, but also gets to experience the fight of being a first generation immigrant. Both of her parents were born in the country south of the United States, and their struggle is what keeps Ytzhel motivated.
Vera Lucia Gonzales is a senior at WRHS and co-president for Nosotros United. Vera is proudly representing her Peruvian heritage with the school and her community.
